The Visitor's Center is also the original White Pass Ticket Office built in 1905.  It is now owned by the United States Park Service.  Alaska Natural History Association has a non-profit bookstore inside the first door on your right facing Broadway.  You will also see a rotary engine sitting in front of this building when you come to visit.  It was at the other end of town getting a new paint job.  You can find more about the Rotary Engine on the White Pass links.
